Anne-Marie Martin was
born in Bucharest, Romania and settled in the United Kingdom as
a child in 1972. Educated in the United Kingdom and qualified professionally
through the Chartered Management Institute.
Anne-Marie is Chief Executive
Officer of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce, a not for profit
bilateral membership organisation based in both the UK and in Romania,
owned by its members with the mission to use its good offices and
activities to increase British-Romanian business and investments.
Anne-Marie is one of the founding Directors of this organization.
Anne-Marie is as a member
of the Executive Committee of COBCOE, the Council of British Chamber
of Commerce in Europe and is a member of the Board of Directors
of the Princess Margarita of Romania Foundation, the charitable
organisation which implements sustainable projects in the areas
of education, community development, civil society, health and culture
that contribute to the spiritual and social renewal of Romania.
Furthermore, Anne-Marie serves on various Committees of several
other Anglo-Romanian charitable organisations and is actively associated
with Romanian Community groups in the UK that assist to promote
Romania abroad.
Anne-Marie is a full
statutory member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI) and
the Institute of Directors (MIOD) and a recently elected Fellow
of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures
& Commerce (FRSA).
Anne-Marie is married
and has two children and enjoys contemporary art, literature, films,
and has a special interest in social and political issues in the
UK and abroad.
