Renata Proková

Renata Proková is Director General and one of the founders
of AJS Management Slovakia, a daughter company of a British consultancy
and management company AJS Management UK. Prior to the establishment
of AJS Management in August 1994, Renata was a local Phare expert
at the National Phare coordination Unit at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs in Slovakia. For 2 years, she was responsible for preparing
tenders and contracts under the Phare programme. Between 1980 and
1995, Renata was a translator/interpreter of educational documents
for UNESCO before becoming editor and responsible for individual
issues of the Czechoslovak Scientific and Technical Society magazine.
Renata has also worked for the Slovak Technical University as Press
Secretary.
Renata is responsible
for the day to day management of AJS Management Slovakia. She is
also responsible for the organisation of the Translation/interpretation
and Event Services Departments. Her strengths lie in the identification,
development and implementation of EU funded projects including Structural
Funds.
Renata is one of the
Vice-Presidents and founders of the British Chamber of Commerce
in Slovakia. She has been supporting the Chamber as a Board Member
for more than 8 years as well as assisting in the development of
Chamber events, for example Business 2 Business Breakfasts which
was introduced this year, and was the power engine for the development
of the BCC journal, BRIDGES.
Renata is used to working
in international teams, is communicative and speaks four foreign
languages – English, German, Russian and Czech.
She is also a member
the Slovak Association of Translators and Interpreters and the Slovak
Union of Journalists.
